My Story,
I grew up in a little town called Narsapur, a beautiful coastal town in Andhra Pradesh surrounded by coconut groves, mango orchards, and the serene Godavari River. My childhood was deeply influenced by my mother, who dedicated her life to educating underprivileged children. My mother was the most selfless, kind-hearted, and innocent soul I have ever known. She gave endlessly, never expecting anything in return. Watching her dedicate her life to children planted a seed inside me very early on and shaped the person I am today.
In 1998, what began as a short visit to Chennai unexpectedly changed my life. I crossed paths with a Scottish family who invited me to homeschool their little boy for the summer. He had been bullied at school and needed care, patience, and understanding. That one unexpected opportunity changed the course of my life forever. I discovered my true calling—teaching and nurturing children through art.
Through them, I was introduced to the American International School,, where I spent ten wonderful years learning, growing, and embracing international education. But the journey was not easy. I struggled, pushed myself constantly, and worked tirelessly to meet international teaching standards. I read endlessly, attended seminars abroad, pursued degrees related to art and education, and kept reinventing myself. Learning never stopped for me — and it still hasn’t.

I later joined Kids Central under the Cambridge and IB curriculum, where I went on to lead the Visual Arts Department for sixteen years.
Over the years, my journey evolved far beyond teaching. I became an art therapist. A child psychologist. An educator. A mentor.
Eventually, I founded Diana's Art Room Studios with a vision to create more than just an art studio. Art is for everyone. I wanted to build a safe, non-judgmental space where every child—regardless of background, ability, personality, or circumstance—could feel seen, heard, valued, and free. A space where young artists can express their emotions, fears, dreams, imagination, and identity through art without fear of criticism.
For me, art is not just about creating beautiful things. Art heals. Art gives voice. Art empowers. Art transforms.
Along this journey, I realized that the little girl from Narsapur who once watched her mother educate children with love had continued the same legacy—through colours, clay, stories, and expressive arts.
This is more than my profession. It is my life's purpose.
